Our Heavenly Father made a way for fallen man to be able to come into His Holy Presence. He gave the most precious thing he had to redeem us - His only Son. He cares for us that much!

We do not deserve, nor can we ever earn, salvation. The only way to enter God’s Presence is by trusting in, clinging to, and relying totally upon His Son, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Jesus died on a criminal’s cross so that ours sins might be forgiven and forgotten.

We are not saved because we deserve it, but because we need a saviour. We are saved by the amazing grace of God. Jesus put it this way,

Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but [only] those who are sick. (Matthew 9:12 Amplified Bible)

To sum things up, Apostle Paul described us like this in one of his letter to the Corinthians,

But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty]. God has selected [for His purpose] the insignificant (base) things of the world, and the things that are despised and treated with contempt, [even] the things that are nothing, so that He might reduce to nothing the things that are, so that no one may [be able to] boast in the presence of God. (1 Corinthians 1:27-29 Amplified Bible)
